Goodies and a Giveaway (mine)!

So I need to finish my show and share about the Quilting Extravaganza from yesterday's post.
The Cottage Quilt Shop from Taylorsville, NC had some fabric and machines set up for demos.

They were also selling thread and these genius little bobbins with a magnet in them.  I got two as freebies! They sew so smooth and the thread is wonderful!
I also found these two sweet fat quarters, the one you can't see is a darling bunny repro print.
BTW the glass items I am displaying the fabric in I bought down the street from the Statesville Civic Center at the Westmoreland Antiques and Collectibles in the bargain basement for $.25-$1.00. They will be used to make pincushions for me and some other lucky people.
I love these kitschy fish!  And their all mine!

Five minutes after I walked into the vendor area they picked door prizes and I won a wonderful pattern of my choice from this lovely lady...Annie of Annie's Keepsakes.
I picked this pattern for cupcake pincushions and also bought some sheets of wool felt for future flower and felting projects.
These lovely ladies from Bill's Sewing Machine CO were just a laugh a minute!
I found a couple of red and black fabrics for a block swap block and a green print for a bag pattern I have been wanting to make.

Enough Saturday goodies, I will share more later in the week.  Now I have to share these goodies I won in some blog giveaways!

This rotary cutter from the Fat Quarter shop I won on a blog whose name I lost-ugh!  It's wonderful! Thanks!
Then last Friday I received an email from Jessica at Quiltyhabit saying I won her first ever giveaway of a Moda Origins charm pack!
Plus...scraps from her scrap bag!  And you know I love other people's scraps...Look Amy Butler's Soul Blossoms!
Thanks Jessica!

And now for my giveaway!  I have been 90's stash busting again, this time in the pinks and reds.  I found some yardage you may want to use for some Valentine's Day projects.
These pieces range from 1/3 to almost 7/8 yards.  Two pin dots, a heart, and an all over print.
This wonderful red Egyptian print has gold accents.  I may find some ribbon or a few other goodies to add to the mix.

To enter:
1.  Leave a comment below telling me your favorite new fabric line (I'm loving me some Soul Blossoms).
2.  Facebook it and leave a comment below.
3.  Blog about it and leave a comment below.

That's three chances to win.
Contest ends Monday, February 7 at 5pm when I have the random number generator pick a number.  Good luck!

Keep dreaming...Colleen

A great view of Pilot Mountain across a corn field and country side, from Andy Grifin show fame(Mt Pilot).

  8. I love all your goodies - the green you chose for the bag is just fantastic. I love the new Moda Butter Cup line - won a FQ bundle and had it 2 months before it hit the stores. Lineny muted soft greens, blues, apricot, and yellows. And it sews like butter. I just love the Egyptian print - how novel!

  11. Now that I've seen it in person, I'm really liking "It's a Hoot!" I'm not usually a fabric line lover, I'm more of a fabric color lover. And the Egyptian print you have is lovely. Red is one of my favorite colors. And aqua. But that Egyptian print is to die for. Yummy. dmj53(at)hotmail(dot)com
