I have been off the blogging for a while.
I have a lot of posts to write but this morning when I saw the foto finish.
Things that fly.
Last summer in my garden flitting around my summer phlox was this beautiful butterfly. I too many many pictures and it wasn't until I was examining them later that I noticed in many of them there was also the bee. Beautiful and scary together doing the thing they do in peace and harmony.
Keep dreaming...Colleen
My very late May block for Block Swap Adventure sent out earlier this week. Torturous block. Kafe's shot cottons need to be starched to death! |
Great shot. It's hard to get those butterflies, they flit about so fast. It's almost like they know you want to take their picture and they want no part of it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture. Such a gorgeous butterfly.

Love the photo shot - I didn't see the bee until I read your discription. I quess I was drawn to the butterfly and flowers that it missed my eye.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, wonderful picture.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty shot. I don't think I've ever seen a butterfly like that.
ReplyDeleteWhat a tremendous photo! If I were a landscape quilter, I would have to ask to borrow that picture. Your swap block is great, too. I am a big fan of oranges and trees. Thanks for sharing both.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning capture. I too missed the bee until I read what you said. Without bees to pollinate the flowers we would have no food and civilisation would cease to exist.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that tree block. Sorry it was a pain to do but it looks worth it to me!
ReplyDeletethis is one of the best tree blocks I've ever seen. Love it!
ReplyDeleteFabulous photo Colleen! I too almost missed the bee - but the butterfly & the flowers are so beautiful :D
