This is Cary. aka Cary-cat and Scaredy Cary.
Isnt he beautiful? I love this picture of him.
He was found as a tiny kitten by my sister's neighbors almost two years ago.
His name is Cary because the neighbors backyard cat (they have a front yard one too) used to carry Cary around .
He came to live at my mom and dad's and became one of my dad's babies.
He also became the bain of their other cat Jasmine's (Jazzy-girl) life.
After all she is the queen.
Cary was coming into his own.
He had even recently beat up the neighbors cat instead of being beat up himself. He was no longer quite so Scaredy Cary. He even started to pose like Jasmine.
Well some one ran over Cary Friday and killed him.
He was so sweet, going through those terrible wild twos and chasing squirrels every where. I think the worse thing is that the person did not even stop and call my parents to tell them. Just hit him and left. My parents live in a nice neighborhood and this happened a couple houses down. How could someone do that? Thanks for letting me share Cary with you. Im tearing up as I write this. I want to leave you with a cute little video of Cary-kitty.
New Cary kitty meeting the family.
Keep dreaming...Colleen
My own kitty angel-Opus whose grave Cary was buried near. |
Thank you for sharing about Cary. I'm so sorry for your loss. We've loved and lost many cats, but none have ever been hit by a car. I would be beside myself if something like that happened. He was a beautiful kitty. Definitely a keeper. I hope that the passage of time will give you peace with your memories of him.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your lovely memories of Cary. So sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear of your loss - he was certainly a beautiful cat.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about the loss of Cary. What a beautiful cat he was! I hope your parents are coping ok. I will say a prayer for them.
ReplyDeleteAs a cat Mommy, I share your grief. I am sure Cary would love the memorial you have posted for him and that he and your Opus (and my Giz) are all having fun together. I am so sorry for your loss, Colleen.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that Colleen-you must be beside yourself hon.
ReplyDeleteI will be thinking of you:)
Oh, poor thing. That is so sad. He sure was a pretty cat. So sorry for the loss.
ReplyDeleteOh Colleen ... I am heartbroken for you all. That is so very tragic and yet your blog has turned the tragedy into a beautiful legacy of a precious family fur-baby. I know how much it hurts to lose a fur-baby and still remember when one of ours was hit on the road. It is the most horrifying thing to experience. Please feel all the hugs and love from the Edwards' house as we are very much lovers of fur-babies. We will keep you close in thought and prayer. <3
ReplyDeleteCary was indeed a beautiful cat. I'm so sorry to read of his loss.
