Pets on Quilts!

Its that time of the year again.  When I bemoan the shyness of my cat to get her picture taken  And stalk my dad's cat who is the original photo hog.  This year I was a little bit more successful.

So here is my sweetie Kalli-cat.

I had to trick her to get on this quilt.  I covered the pillow she likes to sleep on with it.  Its not even a quilt I made but one I rescued from a yard sale.  Sigh.
But she became less and less afraid of my sewing room and quilts this year, almost.

I have lured her closer to my sewing table.  She now will sit on the high stool next to me while I sew.  She even has started to give me cuteness.

Now I often find her sitting in my basket of UFOs...

or right on one of my sewing tables sleeping,

 considering fabric, exploring the rulers...

and watching Bonnie Hunter on quilt cam!

Kalli-cat does love jumping on my lap while hand sewing binding.

And on my lap while Im sewing with two
of my Grandma's cat block baby quilts hanging behind her.

But when I wanted to get a picture of her on my Amy Btler charm square quilt...

you would have thought I was asking her to step in water! The whole time I tied it she followed the yarn and played with it, just not when I had my camera ready!

Finally because her patch of sunshine was where the quilt lay

she reluctantly sat on it, but she did not stay there long.

But she is still my sweet Kalli-cat!

keep dreaming...Colleen

Dads cat Princess Jasmine aka Jazzy-girl loves to help me bind quilts.

  18. Helloooo ~ Let me introduce myself, I am Sweet William The Scot, and I am taking the tour of the quilts. I am more of a dog blogger, but I have made three quilts in my lifetime. All of your quilts are lovely. You can always catch a picture of animals in a sun puddle.
