ICAD starts today

For the summer I wanted to start some healthy creative habits.  Habits that I can sustain or at least inspire me through the summer and into the fall.
I saw ICAD-Index Card a Day on Daisy Yellow's blog.

I have PLENTY of index cards and pens and pencils.  I'm a bit of a hoarder of office supplies. I pulled out a pencil case with an outside pocket the index cards fit in perfectly.  Filled the pouch with markers, pens and pencils.

I think I'm going to make this part of my morning routine.  When I wake up grab the pouch and write or draw or design before I even get out of bed.   It is when my mind is at its most open.  You are supposed to write/draw/stamp/whatever on one card a day. We'll see how it goes.

So here is my first one.

A list of what I want to accomplish this month.

keep dreaming...Colleen
Im super happy how this Any Butler Birdie Sling turned out!
I made it for Caroline my secret pal at school.
Im making my own out of some Tula Pink Nightshade!
Another teacher wants me to make her an identical one

I love the idea of doing your card before you even get out of bed! my brain fog is too thick in the morning. my cards would be completely incoherent if I did that :)

Hahaha, I have PLENTY of index cards too. I had to pick some up at the store but it was a package of 20 or 300...guess which one I chose?

I like how you used your card as a list of summer things to do.

And that sling....oh I am drooling! Beyond gorgeous!!!

Good idea to keep your index card supplies together in one bag, no excuse not to get it done. Useful also to use the card to make a list too, very practical.

If you get all of that done, you're going to have a very busy, fun month! Hope you show your progress along with your icads.

What a great idea, love your birdie sling too! Maybe doing it before your fully awake enhances creativity. I might have to try this. xox

Lists are a great idea and I'm sure I'll be using it at some point myself! Looking forward to seeing more of your cards!
