I went over to Mom and Dad's house to take the pictures.
I finished TWO quilt over the weekend. These two have been a long time in finishing. I started it last summer when the challenge was anounced by collecting red and white fabrics .
The first was "All I want is red, wah, wah, wah" my red and white quilt for the Forsyth Piecers and Quilters guild challenge.
I love how you can see the individual quilting I did on the blocks from the back. This quilt has its own web page where you can find out more about its construction.
The next quilt was started backin the summer. I call it "123 Squared" as I cut strips of 1", 2", and 3" from 8 fat eighths of Jay McCarroll's Habitat fabric and Westminster's Dogwood gray.
That's my cute Daddy holding the quilts for me.
I love how the sun shows the straight line quilting.
A challenge to Modern Quilt Guilds from The Modern Quilt Guild and Free Spirit fabrics. I blogged about it here. You can see quilts created in the challenge here.
Im so proud of my self that I finished TWO quilts in one month! |
Come out and see these quilts and more (over 120!) at the Forsyth Piecers & Quilters quilt show this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Keep dreaming...Colleen
