I let my jelly Roll!

jellyroll!

I took up Megan's challenge this month and made a jelly roll quilt!

I was sucked in to the Granny square craze and found Imagingermonkey's strip piecing tutorial.

So I pulled out some 40's repro jelly rolls I had and in two days had a quilt top!

In another day I quilted it!
I quilted some grafitti in my FMQ.

The on the way to Canada for vacation I hand sewed the binding!

I took pictures with it in front of the giant bobber at the 1000 Island Bait store before entering Canada.

Now Im sleeping under it every night!  Yeah!

Keep dreaming...Colleen
I portaged my kayak up a short steep hill into Quebec lake.  This was my first incredible view.

Johor fun!!! Okay, I had to leave the phone's autocorrect on b/c Johor is funny. You did that in two days??????? Shut the front door! Fresh, (geesh) I am so slow. I see you have a vintage machine. I want a vintage machine too. I have a sort of vintage (1990) Necchi that gives me tension problems all the dang time!

You made Granny Stripping look so easy and love the solid you chose. Glad you explained about what the heck you are standing in front of because it had me wondering!

Do you live near the 1000 Islands? Just wondering, I used to before moving to NC in 2005.
Oh, and love the coal colored background you used!

Granny squares 4-eva! I love the layout on this quilt - that it's not just a straight-up grid. The Canada trip looks like it was a-mazing!! The fact that you finished your quilt while you were there makes it even better. Also, fmq graffiti is an excellent idea for personalizing quilts. Maybe I should try something like that instead of worrying about labels.
