five minutes

Five minutes.
From earthquake
to tsunami
to lives lost and changed forever.

God who creates such majesty
reminds us how small we really are.

I wish everyone would
stop watching basketball
stop working in the yard
stop shopping for wants
stop piecing that quilt top
and spend one minute sending prayers
to Japan
to New Zealand
to everyone suffering.

Prayers

I was thinking today that I have whined about snow and cold weather the last 2 months. What an easy thing to survive when you think of all the hurting people in Japan, New Zealand and Australia. Saying prayers with you.

Amen. I have friends in Japan and also Hawaii. Thankfully I have heard from them and they are fine, but my heart goes out to those who are not. One more reason for us to remember we should treat each day as if it is our last. Things can change in just a few moments.

We can pray, and we can quilt..
If anyone knows of a group sending quilts or other necessities to Japan, please post the particulars, so we can help.
Bless thos people who have lost so much!
