Red and White Quilts

If you haven't heard of or seen the Red and White quilts from the American Art Museums show "Infinite Variety"  check out this slide show.  The story behind this amazing collection can be found here and a video of the installation of the exhibit.
And here is a video of the exhibit.

I love the title "Infinite Variety"  definitely defines us as quilters.

Keep dreaming...Colleen
Kalli liked them too.

My quilt guild went - I couldn't handle that long ride and the walking, so didn't go. But I have been enjoying all the video's, slide shows, and bloggers' ventures. A spectacular collection of quilts and the way they were displayed is most amazing.

I'm glad we are able to appreciate the work that was done so long ago. These quilts are works of art. The way they are displayed is lovely.
