Project Quilting: Challenge 2 - "Chevy Green"

So I am not deliberately trying to participate in Project Quilting.  2 weeks ago I finally had some time to myself and wanted to play and was inspired by the square in a square challenge 1.  I pulled out my scrap bins picked what I liked and came up with this:

A table runner - the scraps decided the design and size.  I was really going to make a pillow.

This time I read the new challenge and again had no intention of doing it.  I have lots of other projects on my plate.  Challenge 2 is your favorite color.  I was thinking last night how I really need a new mug rug for my desk at work.  I had made a really cute one 2 summers ago.  But somehow I lost it over this past summer.  So....

"Chevy Green"

Yes I made a mug rug, My favorite color is a green/blue green..  Secondary is gray.  I needed a little mug rug for my desk at work so I made one.

Another cool green and gray print for the back.

So here is my submission I was not going to make.  Yet somehow I did.  I also have been working on catching up with the Grandmother's Choice BOW.  During my fabric destash I found some more repro prints from the 1990's to use.

I've made blocks #1-6 already.  But then wedding stuff got in the way.  I m trying to catch up.

We had horrible sleet on Friday.
We got out of school  early and I had a hard time getting home
as the wind shield kept freezing.

Great job colleen -- yeah isn't it funny how we end up doing things we weren't going to get involved with when it comes to quilting.
